Rich Fay
Multimedia Sports Journalist
Written work
The modern role of a journalist may have changed in recent years, however I am a firm believer that the best way to develop writing skills is by actively creating written news stories and features.
In the past year alone I have written about the serious concerns surrounding the UK's addiction to prescribed medication, and also a feature about how the North West of England suffers from having the third lowest rate of employment in the country.
I have also shown an ability to develop news stories and turn them into regional features with appropriate case studies, as shown in a piece on the recent Lancaster floods.
My experience in the sport industry has also given me the confidence to interact with celebrities, and I received lots of positive comments for my interview with Noel Edmonds.
I am always on the lookout to cover stories that matter to me, and am hopeful of continuing to write more news stories in the future.
